This is about the daily grind with young kids ages 8, 6, and 2 and everything that goes with it. From wishing I were somewhere else (more often than you would like to know) to how I'm managing to get through the day without totally losing the plot. My oldest has Asperger's and Sensory Processing Disorder. And he's the best behaved out of the whole lot.
I know!!! I keep that thing in our laundry room window so when I feel like beating the shit out of the kids I can look over and remind my self to be patient. Sounds horrible, I know, but it works.
I wish it were like that. You know, like Samantha from Bewitched. Just twitch my nose and I'd have an unending supply of patience. Lord, that'd be great!
So yeah, given the puke/butt infestation you've had to endure for what seems like the last century, I'd promptly knock that ceramic cat over the next person who says the word "germ" in your general vicinity, if I were you.
And how! Meow!
ReplyDeleteI'm, sorry, I am not familiar with that (oh, and am allergic to cats...or possibly both)!
ReplyDeleteI'm not allergic to my cats but I've managed to implant that idea into the kids heads....wrong??? Probably.
DeleteMy son gets the same look in his eyes sometimes. Usually right before he pounces on me.
ReplyDeleteHaha! It is an, "I'm a gonna get ya," kind of look isn't it?
DeleteJust when I think surely I have learned enough patience, I wake up in the morning and discover I could use a whole lot more. Sigh...
ReplyDeleteOh dear! That cat's face looks a little scary and yet strangely familiar. ;)
ReplyDeleteThe word of the day and week and.... never in large enough batches.
ReplyDeleteI know!!!
DeleteI don't like how this is going to end for that bird.
ReplyDeleteAs your son would probably say, "I SEE A WORD I SEE A WORD!"
ReplyDeleteThis cat looks like he has an agenda other than patience...xxx
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm not sure if patience has anything to do with it!
DeleteI hope this choice in decor isn't your way of telling us that you are becoming a crazy cat lady. Though, cat ladies do seem to be patient people....
ReplyDeleteThing is, I love cats but I don't want to deal with them right now. I love other peoples cats right now....
DeleteIs that statue considered an Unending Supply Thereof? If so, ummm, feel free to send some my way. :)

DeleteWha..What??
ReplyDeleteSee what I wrote to Kelly, then you'll go "ahhhh...."
DeleteCan I borrow the patience cat when you're done with it?
ReplyDeleteI wish it were like that. You know, like Samantha from Bewitched. Just twitch my nose and I'd have an unending supply of patience. Lord, that'd be great!

ReplyDeleteOh Kara there have been days I've wanted to shove that thing so far up its own ass you have no idea!!!
DeleteIs that a command or a wish?
ReplyDeleteBoth, I'm afraid!!!
DeleteIf one cat brings patience---i'm starting to understand why some people own like 50 of them
ReplyDeleteHaha!!!! Maybe I should go out and get a live cat?!? Naaa, I'm not quiet there yet.
Deleteahhhh love it
ReplyDeleteOh, the *P* word...
ReplyDeleteI know!!! Sometimes it IS like a cuss word. Especially when I'm running low on it.
